Registration, Fees, Training BUSC 2012-13

REGISTRATION FEES:

  • Registration fees will be paid on an annual basis. Players will no longer register in the Fall and again in the Spring.
  • Annual registration fee for the 2012 - 2013 season will be $250
  • Credit cards will be the only accepted form of payment

A 10% discount for multiple registrants in the same household will be applied after the first registration is paid in full.

TRAINING FEES for teams using UK Elite and Total Soccer:

  • Training costs will no longer be collected from each player by BUSC during the registration process
  • Your team is responsible for collecting the training costs from each player
  • BUSC will invoice your team twice a year: due in September and March to collect the money to pay for UK Elite and Total Soccer

U-11 AND OLDER:  For planning purposes:  one day a week training will cost your team $960.00 each season (Fall and Spring)- this will be the total on the invoice for September and again in March. This cost has not changed from the prior year.    Players have been paying this cost in the past, the change is that the team will be collecting it instead of the Club collecting it during the registration process.

U-9 and U-10: training costs will be discussed separately and are not included in this document.

We are looking at offering a credit card option for each team to collect team fees. There is a processing cost associated with this option and will get back to you shortly on details.

For those of you that want more details as to why these changes are being made.....read below:

 Annual registration:

  • We consider the commitment to BUSC to be an annual commitment, having an annual registration is consistent with this philosophy
  • Credit Card only: too many situations occurred this Spring that the 'check is in the mail" and the check never came.  Its time consuming and unnecessary to have the follow up required to be paid. Being registered requires payment to be complete.
  • Registration was increased $50 on an annual basis from the prior season. This is a direct result of our organization relying solely on the March Into Cups Tournament to raise additional funds. The Tournament did not reach its goal and registration is our only other source of income. If you have other fund raising ideas, please help!   We will look at this registration cost on an annual basis and adjust accordingly.
  • Offering a multi-registrant in the same household discount was in recognition that we are asking for more money up front from families.

Training Fees for teams using UK Elite and Total Soccer

  • The training costs per team is the same, regardless of your roster size.  The current system charges the same for every player regardless of the number of players on your roster and creates inequities among teams.   To make it fair to everyone, your team will be invoiced for the exact dollar amount it is costing you to train your team and you can collect from your parents the appropriate dollar amount per player.
  • Invoicing semi-annually.  BUSC is still responsible for paying our outside vendors.  We manage this process to be able to schedule the trainers on the fields and teams that make the most sense. We contract with these vendors at a Club level and as such we are invoiced at the Club level (they also do not want to have to collect from multiple teams)

We will invoice your team twice a year so you are not in a position to have ask for all that money up front from the parents.

Subject: Fall 2011 Registration Fees

Sent: Wednesday, May 18, 2011 2:22 PM

News from BUCKINGHAM   UNITED SOCCER CLUB:

 Hello   Coaches!

As   a follow up to the discussion at the last coaches meeting, we thought it was   important to document the registration changes in writing for all of you to   use as a reference. The Buckingham United Soccer Club is implementing some   changes for the Fall 2011 season that will effect most teams.   As you   know, the Club has subsidized the paid trainers and coaches by using   funds that have come from Club wide fundraising efforts and the registration   dollars collected from players on other teams.  Going forward, the   Club is no longer going to be able to provide this benefit to the team and   all teams within the Club will be expected to pay 100% of the costs   for their trainers and paid coaches.

The   Seasonal Fees (1x Fall, 1x Spring) will be broken down into two categories   (1) $100 Registration fee that would be the same for every BU Player -this   fee goes towards insurance, field maintenance and other operating expenses to   run the organization (2) Trainer fee for those teams using a trainer or   paid coach. The new pricing structure is as follows:   If you have   any questions or comments you can email the Treasurer, Michelle Obetz at michobetz@comcast.net or bring your   questions to the next coach's meeting on May 26th.

                          Registration       Trainer Fee         SEMIANNUALTotal       ANNUALTOTAL

A Message to Coaches From Ryan Hayward, DOC Buckingham United

Coaches,

As the Director of Coaching, I am always looking for opportunities for the players at the club to develop outside of their natural team environment.  Below are some great, club neutral, developmental opportunities for our players.  Please pass this information on to your players, to make them aware of these club recommended opportunities.  I would suggest that you send the ODP info to everyone, and use your discretion with the other 3 opportunities, as they are not appropriate for every player on your team.

In addition to these opportunities, we encourage you to push all of your players to join the juggling club, and get their name recognized on the website on the Player Development pageThis is a great in-house program, introduced by our Director of Player Development, Steve Maund, and it’s a great way to get our players to spend more time with the ball.

Please take some time to read about the programs below, and get back to me with any questions that you might have.  If you are recommending a player, or multiple players, please give me time to get out and watch this player in training and/or a game.  I will be attending a Union Juniors session in the very near future, to meet with the director of that program, and to expand the opportunities for all of the players at BUSC.  This will also give me perspective about the level of player that we should be recommending to these programs.
