Fall Ball '08 Registration Opens!!!!

 

CB Lightning Lacrosse proudly offers our Fall Ball program for 2008.  We are back again with boys and girls Fall Ball.  Online Registration begins July 29th and will continue to August 29th. 

 

Here are some quick facts about the program:

  • We are open to boys grades 1st thru 8th and girls grades 5th thru 8th. We encourage players from neighboring lacrosse associations to join us for our Fall Ball program.
  • The Boys program will be divided into the following grade-based groups: 1st/2nd, 3rd/4th, 5th/6th and 7th/8th.
  • The Girls program will run as one (1) combined group, grades 5th thru 8th.
  • All BOYS players will require proper equipment to participate as follows: lacrosse helmet, lacrosse shoulder pads, elbow pads, lacrosse gloves, lacrosse stick, protective wear, mouthpiece, and cleats.
  • All GIRLS players will require proper equipment to participate as follows: lacrosse stick, lacrosse specific protective eyewear, mouthpiece, and cleats.
  • The Fall Ball program begins Sunday, September 7th and will run for 8 sessions through October 26th; weather permitting. Sessions will go for 1 ½ to 2 hour periods each Sunday afternoon. Final time slots to be determined. The entire program will be held at Herbst Sports Complex in Plumstead, PA home of Lightning Lacrosse.
  • Participation fee will be $75 per player. This will cover the costs of field usage, supplies, and a CB Lighting Lacrosse Warrior pinnie; not to mention coaching from our best CB Lightning Head Coaches.

 

Fall Ball is a great opportunity for NEW players to become acquainted with the skills and rules of the game of lacrosse.  Experienced players get a chance to dust off their stickwork (and equipment) from the summer in a casual environment and build on skills for the upcoming 2009 season.

'08 Irish Skirmish a GREAT Success!!!!

The 3rd Annual Irish Skirmish was held on Saturday, April 26th and Sunday, April 27th at the Herbst Sports Complex in Pipersville, PA.  Over 100 teams participated in this truly great mid-season lacrosse tournament.  Teams from New York, Maryland and New Jersey will joined our local teams in Pennsylvania.

While the tournament is supported by the tremendous volunteer effort of our parents, the CB Lightning Lacrosse program would like to extend a special note of gratitude and recogition to the Tournament Director, Kevin Milici.  Kevin's passion, dedication and drive certainly resonates throughout the event each year.  We would also like to recognize Mark Butler, our Fields Director, for preparing our home fields at Herbst Sports Complex to showcase our "home turf". 

We are all looking forward to the 4th Irish Skirmish in 2009!!!

Event : CBAA Capital Fund Casino Night

CBAA Casino Night 2008

Mark your calendars for November 15th for the CBAA Casino Night at the Keenan Motors Mercedes-Benz dealership. This event will be open to the public; ticket sales will open to the membership of CBAA, before releasing to the public.

The event will feature multiple gaming tables where you can win tickets which can be redeemed for chances to win great prizes.

Proceeds from the event will go toward the CBAA Capital Fund to build indoor practice facilities for lacrosse, soccer and basketball. In addition the clubhouse will feature meeting rooms & a kitchen for events by Central Bucks Athletic Association.

The event will feature catered hors d'oeuvres and a cash bar as well.

The tickets for the CBAA Casino Night are on sale now! Pre-sale Tickets will be $50 per person, and each ticket includes $60 in casino chips.

Proceeds from the raffle will be used for CBAA's Capital Fund to complete the development of our Herbst Field Sports Complex, a 30-acre complex featuring 8 fields, four basketball courts and a clubhouse.
