2009 Spring Lacrosse On-line Registration is NOW Open! "Click" to register on-line. On-line registration will be open from November 7, through December 20, 2008. There will be two Informational Sessions held at the Indian Valley Middle School (directions), from 9:30 - 11:30 am on the following dates: - Saturday, November 22 (new player clinic)
- Saturday, December 6
** New players - We will also be conducting a "Free" clinic for all players that are new to the sport of lacrosse that would like to try-it out, at the November 22 session. No equipment will be needed for this. Equipment will be provided. Just wear sneakers and something comfortable. CORRECTION to flyer that came home from school that clinic will be on November 22 and not on November 17th. Quick Info: - SABLA lacrosse is for boys from 1st through 8th grades.
- Attending one of the Informational Sessions is strongly encouraged for all new players and for anyone who has questions, or who just wants to come out and talk with the coaches.
- There will be equipment fitting and equipment ordering provided at each of the two Informational Sessions.
- We will accept LATE registrants from 12/20/08 through 1/23/09. Late fee of $25 will be applied.
- Skills assessment will be held in early February, Our Season kick-off. (dates to be announced)
- The spring practices start around first week of March, 2009 and games and practices go through early June.
- Interested in getting involved with SABLA? Please volunteer were prompted through on-line registration - No experience necessary.
- Interested in getting involved as a coach? Two coaching clinics will be scheduled in February. (dates to be announced)
- Our 1st/2nd grade program is focused on skill development with primary focus on instructional basics to the newer player. There will be some intramural scrimmage play within our program and a few of the local programs who also have a 1st/2nd grade program.
- Within the 3rd though 8th grade programs there will be various levels of play to accommidate all skill levels from the more experienced player to the first time player.
- For the more experienced players at the 5th/6th and 7th/8th grade levels, SABLA will be running B1 and A1 level teams this year which will offer play-offs and the opportunity to play against the highest level teams in the area.
