March 27, 2010 Background Ukrainian Nationals is a non-profit organization located in Horsham Township, Montgomery County Pennsylvania whose purpose is to foster passion for and knowledge of the game of soccer by emphasizing skill development, teamwork and sportsmanship of the children who are members. Ukrainian Nationals has approximately 500 members that participate in its premier and travel programs. Objectives To contract with an individual and/or organization to enhance our current soccer program and to guide the development of our coaches and players with the objective to improve skills that enable players to have a greater appreciation and love for the game and to help them compete at their highest level and achieve their goals. Responsibilities - Develop, Implement and Manage a training curriculum that will progressively guide a player's progress from U-5 through U-18 age groups
- Provide direction to coaches to ensure they understand and can deliver the training specified in the curriculum to their players
- Develop and implement an advanced training program with the goal of supporting Premier teams age U11 - U18
- Develop and implement a youth development program with the goal of identifying future premier and travel players for ages U5 - U11
- Develop and run an "Academy" program for youth players who want additional training to enhance their skills throughout the year including camps, in-house training and referral to outside programs
- Develop and support minimum license requirements for all coaches
- Create a standardized process for coach and player evaluation
- Coordinate and support travel team tryouts
- Identify and help recruit quality coaches
- Provide Monthly reports at Ukrainian Nationals Board of Director Meetings
Requirements - USSF A or B level license or equivalent (i.e. UEFA certificates or comparable experience)
- Experience in youth program development
- A record of success in working with youth players and coaches
- Proven communications, personal and administrative management skills
- Strong organization and computer skills
