Thoughts and prayers for the Raymond Family

It is with a very heavy heart that we say goodbye to a member of the Warriors’ Family. As you may be aware, Timmy Raymond recently passed away after a hard fought battle with his illness and we extend our deepest sympathies to the Raymond family. At a time like this, there are no words that can express how truly saddened we are, but know that the Raymond family is in our thoughts and prayers. Timmy will always be with us in spirit which lives on in the memory of so many lives he has touched in the community and he will never be forgotten. God bless the Raymond family during this difficult time.

Over the past several months the Raymonds have expressed their gratitude for the fundraising activities, well wishes, prayers, meals and overall support with which they have been provided, please continue to keep them in your thoughts and prayers.

2009 Season Playoff Results

65lb Freedom 2 - Coach Kelly (2009 Freedom Conference Runner Up)
Congratulations to Coach Kelly and his entire coaching staff and players on a great season that took them all the way to the Freedom Conference Championship Game against the Upper Dublin Cardinals.  The team finished the regular season with a record of 8-1 and entering the play-off as the #1 seed.  This team had a roller coaster finish that started with a double overtime win (13-7) against a very tough Warrington 1 team in their playoff game to their battle against the Upper Dublin Cardinals in the "ship" game that ended their season with a 13-0 loss.   Upper Dublin came out swinging in the "ship" game and took the early lead, but Coach Kelly's boys played hard and keep it to a one touchdown game until late in the 4th quarter when Coach opted for a "house blitz" in an effort to create a turnover to give the offense one last shot.  The gamble didn't work and Upper Dublin scored one last time to put the game out of reach for Warrington.  Congratulations on a great season and for making it to the ‘big show" to Coach Kelly, Abelson, Bradley, Heintz and all the players!

65lb Freedom 1 - Coach D'Angelo (2009 Freedom Conference Playoffs)
Congratulations to Coach D'Angelo and his coaching staff and players on making the Freedom Conference Play-off's.  Finishing the regular season with a 5-2-2 record earned them the #4 seed, and set up what would become the best game of the play-offs in the 2009 season - Warrington 1 vs Warrington 2!  After losing their final regular game of the season to Warrington 2, Coach D'Angelo knew going into the game that this was going to be a battle for the ages. Warrington 2 struck first and led the game 7-0 until late in the 4th quarter.  With less than 4 minutes left in the game, Coach D'Angelo's team began a drive that went over 60yds that ended with a 6yd TD to put the game at a 1 point difference.  After punching in the extra point we were all tied at 7-7 - the clock ran out and the shoot-out began!  On the first overtime both teams displayed just how tough their defense was by shutting each other down, and the stage was set for the 2nd overtime.  Warrington 2's defense stopped the 10yd drive of Coach D'Angelo short of the end zone, and then on the final play of the 2nd overtime, Warrington 2 broke one to the outside and scored the game winning TD that ended the season for Coach D'Angelo ‘s team.  Unbelievable season team, you should all be very proud of what you accomplished!  Congratulations on a great season Coach D'Angelo, Anderson, Borowski, Holley, Suter and players!

65lb American Varsity - Coach Krier (2009 American Conference Playoffs)
Congratulations to Coach Krier, his coaching staff and players on making the American Conference Playoffs.  This team had to win three of their last four games in order to finish the season 5-3-1 and secure the #4 seed in the playoffs - AND THEY DID IT!  After losing in a "mud-bowl" at Mt. Airy (13-0) in their final game of the season, Coach Krier & Co. had to prepare for combat with the undefeated Mt. Airy Bantams the following week in round 1 of the playoffs.  The Bantams struck first and took an early 6-0 lead, but the Warriors responded with a 2nd quarter TD followed by the extra point that gave Coach Krier's boys the early 7-6 lead.  Mt. Airy didn't lay down and the teams went into halftime with a score of MA 20 - WR 7.  Warrington received the ball to start the 3rd quarter and drove right down field and scored on the "Mighty Bantams" to get the game within one TD, however that didn't last long as late in the 3rd quarter Mt. Airy stripped the ball during a play and ran it for a TD. After one more TD by the Bantams the game was out of reach and Warrington fell to the Bantams 30-13.  We know Coach Krier is already in the lab working on game plans for next year... so congratulations on a great season Coach Krier, Levant, McNamee, Moore and all the players and go get'em in 2010!

75lb Freedom 2 - Coach Ford (2009 Freedom Playoffs)
Congratulations to Coach Ford, his coaching staff and players for a great season that ended with a regular season record of 4-4 and landed them the #4 seed in the playoffs.  Coach Ford and his staff were very proud of how the team turned it around in the second half of the season.  After going 1-3 through the first 4 games, the kids really worked hard, stayed focused and battled back to win 3 of their last 4 to make it in the playoffs.  Coach Ford and his young Warriors headed down to Willow Grove to face the undefeated LP Warriors.  It was an epic battle of Warrington vs Lower Providence. LP had been rolling over teams all year long, and nobody was more surprised than LP when the score was only 7-0 at halftime.  Coach Ford's team played strong defensively all game and gave the #1 seed all they could handle for 3.5 quarters, but they came up a little short in the end and lost to LP 19-0. Coach Ford and his staff did an awesome job with the team this season, we know who the real Warriors are - congratulations on a great season Coach Ford, Boyce, Johns, Layer, Parrish, Yoos and all the players!

90lb American Varsity - Coach Zaborowski (2009 American Conference Playoffs)
Congratulations to Coach Zabo, his coaching staff and players on making the American Conference playoffs.  This team of young Warriors finished the regular season with a 7-2 record and earned the #3 seed in the playoffs.  Injuries seemed to be the biggest challenge of the season for this team, but every week the coaches and players stood tall and fought, scratched, and clawed their way to another victory.  It was a long hard road to the playoffs, that ended with a loss to the now 2009 90lb American Conference Champion Mt. Airy Bantams.  Coach Zabo did his homework and had his team very well prepared for the war that would take place against Mt. Airy which was a 6-0 battle well into the fourth quarter, but in the end the Bantams proved just a little too much on that Saturday afternoon in Plymouth Whitemarsh for the mighty Warriors to handle.  The final score was 19-0... but that is not at all indicative of how our Warriors played the game!  7-2 at the 90lb American is incredible for any team and coaching staff.  So congratulations on a great season to coach Zabo, Buchanon, Jacobsen, Lackman, Wiley and the entire team!
