Optimal Recovery For Wrestlers
In Memory Of John W. Troop

John competed on the 2012-2013 Daniel Boone MS wrestling team at the 165 lbs. weight class. Although it was his first year in the sport, John was fully committed to learning everything he could in an effort to improve his skill set as well as support his teammates.
Win or lose, "Troopy" always came off the mat looking to the coaching staff for guidance as to what he could do to improve prior to his next match. John gave it everything he had on and off the mat and it was an honor to have coached him.
It’s now time for the Blazer Wrestling Community to honor John. I am currently working with the school district as well as the sports boosters in the creation of a memorial. As I receive additional information on the same I will keep you all posted. If you are interested in contributing to the cause, feel free to contact me at spalding@dboone.org.
There will be a viewing Wednesday, September 11, from 9:30 to 11 a.m. at Schumacher & Benner Funeral Home & Crematory located at 359 King St., Pottstown, PA. Funeral Services will follow at 11 a.m. Burial will be in St. Peter's United Church of Christ Cemetery, Knauertown, PA.
