Welcome to the MSL registration page
Registration for the 2025 Season will be open from March 14th - April 18th.
The fee per player is $110 and includes a team jersey for NEW league members.
Returning players may request an additional jersey for a fee of $10 during registration.
Registration is a two-step process:
1. Register on the website using the button below.
2. Pay the registration fee using the preferred payment method, which is Zelle.
Payments should be sent via Zelle to mercksoccerfc@gmail.com, which will show up as "West Point
Soccer Club". Once sent, you will have to reply to a text message to confirm the transfer. If the
Zelle account you set up does not have your name associated as the user, you must contact the
league to confirm your payment. If you cannot use Zelle, returning players please contact your
captain. For new players, please reach out to mercksoccerfc@gmail.com
YOU WILL NOT BE OFICIALLY REGISTERED UNTIL YOU ALSO COMPLETE THE PAYMENT.
The following link will show you how to sign up for Zelle; https://www.zellepay.com/get-started.
If you have any questions/concerns, please email mercksoccerfc@gmail.com and the league will follow up.
Before registering seriously consider your ability to attend a minimum of 75% of the season’s
matches. If your schedule will be challenging this season, we are going to have a special
registration category at the end of the registration time, that will allow you to sign up as a
“guest player” and be in a pool of players that can be offered the ability to play up to 4
games, as teams are in need.
**SPACE IS LIMITED**
The Merck Soccer League (MSL) is a recreational coed, refereed, full field, 11 vs. 11 league with Merck employees, Merck family members, Merck contractors, local business and community members around Merck. While this league is recreational in nature, please note that new players are expected to understand and play within the laws of the game.
Only registered and paid members can participate. The only exception is for limited inclusion of an outsite player (see details in League Rules)
You must review the Merck Soccer League Rules prior to registering. Failure to follow the league’s rules will result in non-participation or removal from the league.
Members of this league are required to pay annual dues which are currently set at $105. The league begins in May and concludes in August/September with playoffs.
Games: Games are scheduled Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday at 6 pm and are played at either the Merck West Point Field near Pizza Time or Montgomery County Community College.
Teams: There are color-coded teams (Blue, Black, Gold, Green, Navy, White, Red, Gray, Gold, etc.). New players can request to be added to a team or elect to be added as a free agent to any open team. New teams will be created when enough players are available to fill additional rosters and field availability allows. After all the team rosters are full, a waiting list will be started and maintained by the league officials. As this is a corporate league, Merck employees, contactors and family members are given priority placement over non-Merck team members.
Jerseys: Returning players are expected to bring their jersey for the 2024 season. Only new players receive jerseys
at the time of registration. Returning players may purchase a new jersey for the season for an additional fee of $10.
Rules: You must review the Merck Soccer League Rules prior to registering. A high-level summary is provided below. Failure to follow the league’s rules will result in non-participation or removal from the league.
- Games will be played according to standard FIFA rules, except as noted elsewhere in the detailed rules.
- All players are required to wear shin guards.
- Slide tackling of any type is not permitted in this league.
- This league is a recreational coed work league. All players on the roster must be allotted equal playing time. Discrimination in this league will not be tolerated.
-The only permitted jewelry is a simple wedding band with no protruding stones. All other jewelry must beremoved or covered with tape.
- Smart watches must be fully covered by a sweat band to protect other players on the pitch.
- If a team is short on players for a game (less than 3 substitutes), players from other teams may play for the short-numbered team. There will be an email request sent out to the league seeking help for additional players.
